Lisa Snow Lady

Lisa Snow Lady’s paintings search for beauty in everyday spaces, lending nobility to the ordinary. Limited, vivid palettes and compositions that echo abstract sensibilities are at the heart of these works. With confident brushstrokes, she frequently depicts urban and residential street scenes, capturing the play of light and shadow in vibrant color.

The artist’s interest in architecture, born from her art historical training, guides her sensitive treatment of urban place. Roofs, walls, and staircases divide the picture plane, creating dynamic spaces reminiscent of Richard Diebenkorn’s landscapes. Scenes of familiar streets are transformed into bright examinations that meet lush greenery and botanical forms.
